EliteSingles fills a gap in the US online dating landscape: a dedicated website for sophisticated people who are looking for a long-term relationship with like-minded individuals. We were a little hesitant when we were approached by EliteSingles to test their service’s because of the slightly controversial nature of their branding. However, this hesitation was not necessary: EliteSingles is an absolute premium product and as such one of the few really dedicated to the US market. It is part of Europe’s largest matchmaking service eDarling, which explains the similarities between the products and branding. The users were not a dreary collection of University Arts students and dentists. Far from it. The people I met on site were down to earth and only differentiated themselves by having ambition and a desire for something more.
And? Is it “Elite”? Well, I do not know what this word means to you, but 3 hours after registration I was in touch with a medical doctor, a restaurant-owner and a lovely lady philosopher. I never knew such a thing existed. The level of education of users I met on the site is very high and thus the service keeps its promise: dating for sophisticated singles.
Usability and Safety:
The terms & conditions as well as the privacy and data protection rules are easily accessible on the website and all comply with Canada’s robust privacy laws. These documents as well as the platform meet and in some cases, exceed all current (legal) requirements.
From a usability perspective the site is the best we have tested in a while. Really easy (but be warned it is LONG!) sing up process, clear and stylish design and a very well thought-through, linear set-up of your profile page.
